Goodbye from Aspirations Wellbeing
As members and customers may already be aware Aspirations Wellbeing, the charitable trust, which has been managing the Pemberton Centre, Splash Pool and the Nene Centre since 2003 will be handing over the facilities to Freedom Leisure on 1 April 2017.
Aspirations Wellbeing would like to thank all its members and customers who have used the centres or participated in the many events, activities and services in the 13 years of operation within East Northamptonshire. All existing memberships and pre-booked future classes, events or activities will be fully honoured on the same terms and conditions as currently. Monthly direct debit memberships will automatically transfer and continue to be collected by the new company. Aspirations Wellbeing members or customers who have any concerns should speak to a centre receptionist who will be pleased to assist with any queries or enquiries.
Aspirations Wellbeing’s best asset, our staff, will all be transferring to the new operator so customers will continue to see all the familiar faces in the centres and we wish them good luck and continued success with their new employer.
The Trust, through its charitable status, has been successful in securing over 1.3 million pounds in grants and funding awards into East Northamptonshire since 2003, a record that we are most proud of, providing residents with the opportunity to partake in many events and activities which would not otherwise have been possible to provide. Accordingly, Aspirations Wellbeing would like to thank the following organisations for their valued financial support:
Children in Need, The Big Lottery Fund (a number of individual projects ), Awards for All, Leader+ Programme , Northamptonshire County Council (Community Development Fund), Heart Research Uk, Rayne Foundation, Northamptonshire Sport, Northamptonshire Arts Partnership and East Northamptonshire Council.
Finally, on behalf of Aspiration Wellbeing’s management, we would like to thank the trustees both past and present for their time, commitment, support and governance. They have overseen and been part of a valued, successful local organisation providing East Northamptonshire with facilities, leisure and community services over the last 13 years and, without them, the Trust would have been unable to operate.
