Gym - Pemberton Centre

The recently refurbished Gym at the Pemberton Centre is IFI (Inclusive Fitness Initiative) accredited.  The new, larger, air-conditioned fitness suite has been extended and now houses over 100 stations.  

The Gym is fitted with an extensive range of state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistance equipment, including the revolutionary Power Plates, Trixter Bikes and SynrgyS.  Our cardio equipment has the latest Discover product from LifeFitness that enables you to watch TV, browse the web or explore courses from around the world. You can create an account which allows you to monitor your progress and design programmes that you want to do.


Whilst you don't have to be a member to use our facilities, we offer a variety of Aspirations Wellbeing Membership packages to suit your needs.  Membership may be a cheaper option for your fitness needs.  

Our  friendly staff are fully qualified and are there to encourage, motivate and help you to achieve your desired goals.

Activators for Young Adults

The Pemberton Centre  and the Nene Gym offer supervised gym sessions for young people in our Aspirations Wellbeing Gyms.  

The Activators programme at the newly refurbished Pemberton Gym is designed for all young people aged 11-17 (at age 18 young people can join the ‘senior’ gym).

Designated machines only are available for Activators - this is to ensure the safety of the group.

The sessions are fun and designed to give young people a chance to be in an adult enviroment before they can become as Aspirations Wellbeing Member at age 18.

The refurbished gyms at both sites are governed by the new UKactive guidelines which recommend that fitness suites should only be for 11 year olds and over.  With this in mind, we provide fitness equipment suitable for families to train alongside each other, benefitting from more social interaction and quality time.
